The Hampstead Jazz Club is thrilled to host Upcoming London Guitarist Tom Remon and multi-instrumentalist Neil Yates on Trumpet & Alex Ho on Piano. The night will be a riveting display of jazz standards and originals.

TOM REMON

Tom Remon is a recent Middlesex University graduate and Tomorrow’s Warriors alumnu who marked is Debut CD with UK jazz legend Jim Mullen “Duality” on Lunaria records, Tom has also recorded and performed with MOBO Award Nominated drummer David Lyttle, Jonathan Gee, Steve Willianson, Sid Jacobs and many others.

NEIL YATES

Multi-instrumentalist composer, arranger and educator Neil Yates studied music at Salford University and Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. He stepped out into the professional music business in 1991, as a London-based jazz trumpeter working most notably for the BBC Big Band, Johnny Dankworth Orchestra and Gary Crosby’s Nu Troop. He moved on to higher profile session musician work in 1994, performing and recording with The Brand New Heavies, Supergrass, Black Grape, Lighthouse Family, Alison Moyet, Will Young, Raw Stylus, Suggs, Matt Bianco and Robbie Williams.

Neil recorded his award winning first solo jazz album “New Origins” and his new album “Five Countries”, released on Edition Records November 2011. He also became much involved in Celtic music, performing, writing and arranging for traditional music legends Michael McGoldrick and Kate Rusby.

ALEX HO

Currently based in London, Alex Ho started off as a classical pianist and had his concerto debut when he was 18. His first opportunity to explore jazz music came during his undergraduate years at UCL studying Economics and he was hooked since then. While he continued to study classical performance at the Royal Academy and Royal College of Music he began performing in the London jazz circuit. In 2008, bassist and educator Gary Crosby OBE took Alex under his wing and invited him to join the Gary Crosby Quartet performing regularly at The Spice of Life in Soho as part of the artist development programme of the educational organisation Tomorrow’s Warriors. Since then Alex performed in some of London’s most important venues and international festivals, including Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club, the Purcell Room at Southbank Centre, PizzaExpress Jazz Club Soho, King’s Place, EFG London Jazz Festival, Bristol Jazz & Blues Festival, Guinness Cork Jazz Festival in Ireland and Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland. In 2017 Alex collaborated and performed with saxophonist Steve Williamson both in duo and quartet settings. Alex made his debut appearance in Mainland China in 2018 at Shanghai Concert Hall and JZ Club in Guangzhou.

Seats are not numbered and you will be seated at available tables. Please note tables seat 4 people, so for bookings of less than 4 people, you will be seated and share a table for 4.

For £15.00 Tickets:

This is a fully seated event.  Seats are not numbered and will be allocated on a first come first serve basis.

Please NOTE, there is NO food served in the Jazz Club, there is a bar for drinks. We advise booking a table for dinner at the Duke of Hamilton upstairs at least 1hr before show-time – Book Here 

Please note the Jazz Club is situated in the basement of the Duke of Hamilton Pub and access is via a number of stairs. The nearest toilets are situated on the 1st floor of the Pub.
