Hampstead Jazz Club brings you the music of The Andrea Rinciari Trio which is mainly based around the bebop music culture. The main focus of this band is to exploit the limits of the guitar as an instrument,  making the guitar sound like a piano in a trio setting!

The passion of Andreas guitar together with his charm, and drive makes him a fully fledged favourite on the London circuit of musicians.

Andrea immersed himself in the London scene when he moved here back in 2014. A gregarious and excited fan of Jazz music as a teenager, he set about attending as many live shows as possible, in addition to be mentored by some of worlds greatest guitar masters: The UKs very own Nigel Price and Jim Mullen, the great American band leader, Barry Harris, and Canadian Saxophonist, Grant Stewart.

As the art director and resident guitarist of two very successful nights on the London Jazz scene, Andrea is an established London musician and is part of Lart De Jazz, Soho Jazz Jazz and regular spots at Ronnie Scott’s, which stage some of the best talents in town.

The arrangements composed by Andrea, are built to showcase the potential of the guitar as a leading instrument, no compromises with lofty movements of notes at the same time, just like a piano would do! The vibrant music is based around the influences of Straight Ahead Jazz and Bebop.

Andrea’s repertoire together with his original compositions is primarily based around the music of his biggest inspirations Bud Powell, Charlie Parker, Barry Harris and Elmo Hope.

Rinciari is able to reflect the gentleness and beloved bounce of Bud Powells piano playing beautifully in each of these standards. His solos are thoughtful and creative and capture elements of Powells genius.” – London Jazz News
