Paul Edis Trio featuring Alan Barnes - The Snug Sessions @ Bishop’s Court Farm
Sunday 30th October 2022
Hampstead Jazz Club proudly presents The Snug Sessions at Bishop’s Court Farm, a series of six special shows featuring an illustrious line-up of some of the brightest stars in contemporary jazz.
The venue for this event is:
Snug, Bishop’s Court Farm, 91 High Street, Dorchester-on-Thames, OX10 7HP
Blurring the boundaries between Bill Evans and Claude Debussy, Paul Edis is a natural melodist who finds the emotional resonance of every note. For this special performance he will be joined by his drum-tight trio and legendary saxophonist Alan Barnes to dive into The Still Point Of The Turning World, an achingly beautiful, impressionistic album that wells up from places Wordsworth deemed ‘too deep for tears.’
Paul Edis – MD/Piano
Alan Barnes – Saxaphone
Adam King – Double Bass
Joel Barford – Drums
Located just five miles from Didcot and nine miles from Oxford and set on a 300-acre site in the village of Dorchester-on-Thames in the heart of the idyllic Oxfordshire countryside, Bishop’s Court Farm is a magical, family-friendly and fully sustainable home to 70 characterful alpacas alongside a host of horses, goats, pigs and sheep. At the centre of this pastoral paradise is The Snug restaurant, which offers a mouth-watering menu of locally sourced delights. Complimenting the magnificent menu is the equally magnificent musical programme we have in store for The Snug Sessions.
