HJC is thrilled to welcome contemporary young pianist and composer Noah Stoneman and his original works encompassing high-energy instrumental music. This performance will feature up and coming in-demand bassist Will Sach and legendary master drummer Jason Brown.

Noah Stoneman is a 21 year old pianist and composer from north London. He is currently studying at the Royal Academy of music and is adept at a wide range of musical idioms. What binds these different languages together is improvisation; the art which Noah aims to master throughout his career. He regularly performs as a sideman for some of the finest musicians across the UK from all generations, including Alex Hitchock, Jason Brown, Ruben Fox, Mark Kavuma, Hohnen Ford, Xhosa Cole, Alex Ridout, Joe Downard and Jim Mullen.

With his own trio you can expect a range of hard-hitting original compositions and an intense, immediate sense of improvisation across the group.

Anybody who has heard Stoneman live will know that he is the most exciting new pianist to emerge on the UK scene since Kit Downes first surfaced in 2007. He is an alert and agile player’ – Marlbank jazz blog
