Returning to The Hampstead Jazz Club following an earlier sold-out show, Lulu Pierre a startling new arrival on the London jazz vocal scene will wow her audience once again as she is joined by master pianist/composer Alex Webb!

Lulu Pierre is an incredible new arrival on the London jazz vocal scene, who has proved herself to be a classic Torch Song stylist in the tradition of Nancy Wilson. She can also swing out like Sarah Vaughan, with a voice that can move from a seductive sweetness to a lived-in rasp. With the experienced piano accompanist Alex Webb and his trio, she performs evergreens from the Great American Songbook, heartbreaking Torch songs and some surprising non-jazz repertoire choices.

Webb is a pianist, arranger, songwriter and a resident artist at Hampstead Jazz Club.  He has a long history of working with leading jazz vocalists, and his songs have been recorded by Liane Carroll, China Moses, Jo Harrop, Allan Harris, Cherise, Ayanna Witter-Johnson and many others.

Lulu Pierre performs a thoughtful range of material including unusual song choices and little-known gems from the jazz repertoire.  Alex Webb is a pianist, arranger and songwriter with a long history of working with leading jazz vocalists; his songs have been recorded by Liane Carroll, China Moses, Jo Harrop, Allan Harris, Cherise, Ayanna Witter-Johnson and many others. He will be joined by the much in-demand bassist Larry Bartley and Sicilian-born drummer Alfonso Vitale.
