Hampstead Jazz Club is proud to be one of the venue partners of the EFG London Jazz Festival 2021. Closing the Festival with a musical bang Sat 20 November, we will be presenting an exciting mix of superb music, showcasing an eclectic array of world class artists in the intimate setting of the capital’s coolest new jazz club.

Guest Singer – Paul Lee
For the last three decades, Paul Lee’s voluptuous voice continues to enjoy a flourishing career as a top vocalist. Paul is the industry’s choice as a recording artist and performing with legends which include Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Maxi Priest and Boy George to name but a few.
Paul has enjoyed appearances in a number of films, TV shows across multiple networks across the world including premier gospel TV series “People Get Ready”, commissioned by Channel 4 Television. Paul regularly features on ‘BBC Songs of Praise’ and for the last 4 years broadcasting as presenter and producer of the ‘Arise & Shine Show’ on London’s Premier Gospel radio station.
Singing for 15 years with the internationally acclaimed and award-winning choir ‘The London Adventist Chorale’, under the direction of Ken Burton, Paul was a member when the choir won the prestigious title ‘Sainsbury’s Choir of the Year 1994/5’ and ‘BBC Radio 2 Gospel Choir of the Year 1995/6’. Paul has worked in the UK Gospel music industry for the last 35 years.
Paul has provided backing vocals for classical performances and a DVD recording for the Queen’s Golden Jubilee from Buckingham Palace and performed for the Princess Royal in the grounds of Buckingham Palace. Then came the golden invitation from Harry and Meghan to sing that infamous lead to ‘Stand By Me’ at the Royal wedding, which was moving, emotional and beautifully controlled.
Emerging gospel singer Esther Hendricks is inspired by not only her faith but also Jazz. Esther is influenced by Frank Sinatra, Billie Holiday, Nora Jones, Judy Garland and Barry White to name but a few. Their songs have resonated with her story and have become old friends.
Lorraine Minôt-Howe is a singer/songwriter originally from the West Midlands. Lorraine’s passion for singing is embedded in her gospel roots. Lorraine released her first single ‘Praise Through Your Storm’ in July 2021. Lorraine is described as having a unique tone whilst her vocal interpretation of the songs she sings is said to leave the listener uplifted.
