A Jazzy Christmas Concert at Sevenoaks

Hampstead Jazz Club in association with The Listening Room proudly present a  Jazzy Christmas evening. With Jo Harrop and Paul Edis featuring a 9 piece band with Alex Garnett, Paul Booth & Gareth Lockrane.

Featuring new arrangements of festive favourites penned by ‘brilliant young pianist’ Paul Edis and performed by some of the leading lights on the UK jazz scene including ‘velvet-voiced’ Jo Harrop.

You can expect to hear classic Christmas hits such as ‘Santa Baby’ given a big band treatment rubbing shoulders with more contemporary hits like ‘Driving Home For Christmas’ as a Brazilian samba. You don’t have to be a jazz fan to like this show, but if you are, you’ll be blown away by the standard of musicianship from some of the leading lights on the UK jazz scene.

Jo Harrop (Vocals)

Jo Harrop has a chocolate and cream croon that can melt the hardest of hearts. Described by the legendary Iggy Pop as “a very fine jazz singer”.

Paul Edis (MD)

‘A brilliant young pianist’ – The Guardian, blurring the boundaries between Bill Evans, Brad Mehldau and Claude Debussy.
