Jazz in “Compartment 33” (Fundraiser)

Fudge Films invites you to enjoy an evening of delectable Jazz hosted by Nicole Selwyn and James Brotherston. The evening will provide a showcase of jazz/blues with some fabulous well known classics and a few more obscure delights with a Louisiana blues feel. Tonight the duo will be joined by a collection of Special Guests to add to the evening’s wonderful vibe.
BIO: Nicole & James
Nicole’s early introduction to music began with Classical training in Piano and Violin at a young age. From there, she discovered jazz and soul which captured her heart. Her inspiration includes an eclectic mix of performers including Nina Simone, Stevie Wonder, Dinah Washington and Donnie Hathaway. Nicole now continues to perform delightful Jazz standards with her smooth and dynamic vocals showing off her power and range around London.

James cut his teeth as a pianist, bandleader and arranger as a student in Edinburgh before moving to east London in 2006. His idiosyncratic, New Orleans-infected piano and vocal style incorporates elements of James Booker, Fats Waller, Charles Brown and Amos Milburn. James can regularly be found playing gigs around the city.

All ticket proceeds will go towards the production of “Compartment 33” which should be completed by the end of the year.
