HJC Presents a Double Showcase of Two Singer/Songwriters

Friday 4th October 2019

Tickets: £15.00 Seat

Doors: 7.30pm

Show: 8.00pm-10.00pm

Here at The Hampstead Jazz Club we pride ourselves in being forerunners in supporting and giving upcoming Artists a platform to showcase their music and diverse styles.  We are pleased to bring you two incredibly different but equally talented singer/songwriters in a very special evening of two showcases.

We hope you will agree and join us in our quest to support and drive young artists to the epicentre of live music.

SAMANTHA PREIS – Singer/Songwriters – First showcase

American born singer-songwriter, storyteller, and world traveler, Samantha Preis, tells her story through her expressive songwriting and travel accounts.

Soulful and introspective, she weaves her spell with captivating melodies and thought-provoking lyrics inspired by her unique travel experiences. Her music touches upon consciousness, morality, and the human condition, and her creative approach to songwriting and storytelling separates her from the average singer-songwriter.

Samantha’s haunting melodies are pulled from a place deep within and have found their way into the hearts of audiences at home and abroad.

LEAH TESS- Singer/Songwriter – Second showcase

This 23 year old singer/songwriter from London, a recent graduate from ICMP (Institute of Contemporary Music Performance) is making her name from her unique in-depth passion and vivacious performance style.  A force to be reckoned with, Leah received first place in the ‘ATLA international song writing contest’ in Paris since last performing at HJC.

As part of her ongoing arsenal of accolades, Leah has performed at countless gigs and festivals throughout Exeter and London, and prepares to branch out further afield as she gains fans from all over the world.

The eclectic music genre that Leah is synonymous with is described as a mixture between folk and pop. Leah’s charged compositions reflect life experiences and people’s struggles resonating with audiences as they experience a personal connection into the complex world of emotions.

As an evolving artist Leah draws musical influences from Fleetwood Mac, The Tallest Man on Earth, Lissie and London Grammar.

Leah’s recent EP releases are available on all music streaming services.
