Georgia Mancio

Multi award-winning jazz vocalist, lyricist and producer, Georgia Mancio, is a supreme storyteller, creating work of authenticity, adventure, beauty and bite. Whether interpreting her own luminous originals or standards, Georgia’s evoking performances connect deeply with her audiences and linger long in the mind.

Her copious industry acknowledgements include consecutive wins at the Parliamentary Jazz Awards:Best Vocalist (2021) and Best Album ‘Finding Home,2020′, and several nominations at the Jazz FM,British Jazz and Urban Music Awards.Her revered partnership with Grammy-winning pianist/composer, Alan Broadbent, has yielded two albums ‘Quiet Is The Star,Songbook’, a book ‘The Songs of Alan Broadbent and Georgia Mancio‘ and engagements across Europe and the US, including Ronnie Scott’s and Jazz at Lincoln Center.

Other credits include: BBC Proms, Kate Williams, Liane Carroll, Ian Shaw, Pat Metheny (lyricapproval), Bobby McFerrin and her own festivalsReVoice!and Hang. Georgia is also a vocal tutor at CityUniversity and co-runs Hugh & Marion’s, Eltham Jazz Club.

Luiz Morais

Brazilian composer, arranger and 7-string guitarist, Luiz Morais is a unique voice in contemporary Brazilian Jazz and a virtuoso performer. Based in London since 2010, he leads the Luiz Morais Group, forging ahead in creating an innovative and experimental rebirth of the Brazilian musical tradition in a wider landscape of jazz and world music.

Born in Fortaleza in the North-East of Brazil, immersed in vibrant Brazilian musical culture, Luiz Morais built his musical foundations playing rhythms such as Samba, Choro and Bossa Nova as well as the iconic North Eastern rhythm of Forró.

Based in London since 2010, Luiz Morais launched his first album ‘Nascente’ to critical acclaim in the UK, Brazil and Spain in 2013. His second album ‘In the Weave’, was released in October 2021. With all original compositions and arrangements, this work draws from the Brazilian tradition forged by the likes of Tom Jobim, Baden Powell and Moacir Santos and weaves new threads and connections to contemporary Jazz.

From the unique rhythmic force of the Brazilian guitar tradition, Morais builds his intricate and vibrant weave of sounds, performing in top London venues such as Pizza Express Live, 606 Club, Royal Albert Hall and Crazy Coqs as well as playing in various projects all over the UK and beyond, with Gareth Lochrane, Georgia Mancio and the Adriano Adewale Group amongst others.

Please note, The Club is not licensed to allow access to Children under the age of 16 after 9pm, so for evening performances, please do not book tickets for children under the age of 16. Children aged 16 and above are welcome at any time.

Seats are not numbered and you will be seated at available tables. Please note tables seat 4 people, so for bookings of less than 4 people, you will be seated and share a table for 4.

For £15.00 Tickets:

This is a fully seated event.  Seats are not numbered and will be allocated on a first come first serve basis.

Please NOTE, there is NO food served in the Jazz Club, there is a bar for drinks. We advise booking a table for dinner at the Duke of Hamilton upstairs at least 1hr before show-time – Book Here 

Please note the Jazz Club is situated in the basement of the Duke of Hamilton Pub and access is via a number of stairs. The nearest toilets are situated on the 1st floor of the Pub.
