The Hampstead Jazz Club Presents a trio of internationally acclaimed and award winning musicians for a night of pure class in the art of live musicianship.

George Kontrafouris

George Kontrafouris is an internationally recognised hammond organ and piano player with more than 30 years of touring and performing with an extended list of world class jazz musicians like Pat Martino, Benny Golson, Peter Bernstein, Dayna Stephens, Ralph Peterson Jr, Adam Nussbaum, Alvester Garnett, David Liebman, Houston Pearson, Eric Alexander, Lou Donaldson, Tim Hagans, Sheila Jordan and many more.

He is also an Assistant Professor at the Ionian University in Greece and a visiting lecturer at the Sibelius Academy in Finland. Joined by jazz guitar legend Jim Mullen and award-winning drummer Billy Pod, they recently recorded together the upcoming album of the trio entitled “London 3“.

This event was advertised featuring Jim Mullen on guitar.  Due to unforeseen circumstances Jim will not be performing but will be replaced by another incredible guitarist Tom Ollendorff.

Tom Ollendorff
Establishing himself as one of the most exciting young jazz musicians in the UK.

​Known for his original sound and versatility as a guitarist and composer, he has performed internationally across Europe and Asia and has worked with artists including Ari Hoenig, Bill McHenry, Jeff Williams, Geoff Simkins, Huw Warren. Notable performances including Ronnie Scott’s, Glastonbury Festival, Glastonbury Extravaganza, London Jazz Festival and One Day Jazz Festival.

“A Song For You”, Tom’s debut record, was released internationally on Fresh Sound Records in May 2021. It presents a selection of his compositions and arrangements with his longstanding trio featuring Marc Michel on the drums and Conor Chaplin on bass.

​As well as his work with his trio, Tom’s first collection of pieces for solo guitar is due to be released in 2021. The ‘Tom Ollendorff Etude Series’ showcases Tom’s versatility as a guitarist and highlights the classical influence in his technique and composition style.

Billy Pod

Nominated in the Top 10 New drummers for 2019 by French ”Batterie Magazine’’ drummer Billy Pod has performed in international festivals and venues in Europe, USA and Asia (Pori Jazz Festival, London Jazz Festival, Taichung Jazz Festival, Made in New York Jazz Gala among others).At the same time he has been one of the most in demand drummers in the Greek music scene for more than ten years.

Please note, The Club is not licensed to allow access to Children under the age of 16 after 9pm, so for evening performances, please do not book tickets for children under the age of 16. Children aged 16 and above are welcome at any time.

Seats are not numbered and you will be seated at available tables. Please note tables seat 4 people, so for bookings of less than 4 people, you will be seated and share a table for 4.

For £15.00 Tickets:

This is a fully seated event.  Seats are not numbered and will be allocated on a first come first serve basis.

Please NOTE, there is NO food served in the Jazz Club, there is a bar for drinks. We advise booking a table for dinner at the Duke of Hamilton upstairs at least 1hr before show-time – Book Here

Please note the Jazz Club is situated in the basement of the Duke of Hamilton Pub and access is via a number of stairs. The nearest toilets are situated on the 1st floor of the Pub.
