Freddie and his quartet are back in town to perform all of his original compositions. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the soirée that the quartet have to offer live from The Hampstead Jazz Club.

He comes back to Hampstead Jazz Club for his 27th Birthday after his sell-out debut shows back in February and September. He will be joined by Chris Bland, Luke Fowler, Kieran Gunter and Floyer Sydenham. He’s a mean mimic, so expect some of his accents and impressions as well as some bad dad jokes!

Freddie cut his teeth as the lead singer of the National Youth Jazz Orchestra and studied Jazz Singing at Guildhall School of Music and Drama. His silvery fingered trumpet playing style and soft, velvety voice are uncannily reminiscent of the great Chet Baker, so it’s no surprise that he’s burst headfirst into the jazz spotlight.

Freddie was born from an artistically theatrical family, joining a local church choir in South London as a child, which sent him on his way to becoming the ambitious, and talented performer you’ll see on stage. His vocal talents have seen him play at some of the most sought after and iconic venues all over the world, with the Carnegie Hall, Glyndebourne, the Royal Opera House, Ronnie Scott’s, The Ritz and The Savoy to name but a few.

Following a family tragedy during the COVID-19 pandemic, Freddie’s creative juices started flowing and he ended up writing original compositions to get through his time of grief. He is ecstatic to announce that he will be recording all of his original material with his band this year. The music is a mixture of jazz and neo-soul.

“Freddie’s mastery of his vocal instrument when it comes to an improvised solo is unparalleled amongst his peers.”JON SMITH, THE SWINGLES
