The Hampstead Jazz Club brings you One of Europe’s finest jazz vocalists EMMA SMITH joined by HJC’s esteemed Musical Director/Pianist JAMIE SAFIR!

Especially for Hampstead Jazz Club, they have curated a fun and fresh journey through the Jewish Jazz songbook to celebrate Chanukah, with songs written by George & Ira Gershwin, Rodgers & Hammerstein, Irving Berlin, Bob Dylan and Kurt Weil to name a few. Emma will reflect on her own Jewish heritage and pay a fitting tribute to this great cannon of work.

This special one-off evening celebrating Chanukah takes you on a journey through the Great American Songbook and it’s predominately Jewish Composers. Long-term collaborators Emma & Jamie, have sold-out countless performances as headliners at Ronnie Scott’s and both as part of the Ronnie Scott’s All Stars.

Emma Smith is recognised as one of the most exciting voices of her generation, spanning many genres, scenes and stages, she has performed everywhere from the O2 Arena to the Graham Norton Show to the top jazz clubs of NYC. Emma has been performing professionally from the age of 15, and now with 11 years of show business under her belt she has a lot to show for it.

Performing and recording with some of the biggest artists in the world, (Michael Buble, Robbie Williams, Georgie Fame & Seal), Emma has been collecting awards in her own name along the way  ‘London Music Awards rising star of 2015‘ and winner of the ‘Worshipful Company of Musicians Medal of 2013‘.

As a proud one third of the chart topping vocal harmony group ‘The Puppini Sisters‘, her immersion in music has taken her all over the world and more recently into the broadcasting house, where she hosts a weekly show on BBC radio 3. Emma has also been featured in a four part BBC tv documentary about vocalists hosted by Gregory Porter.

Please note, The Club is not licensed to allow access to Children under the age of 16 after 9pm, so for evening performances, please do not book tickets for children under the age of 16. Children aged 16 and above are welcome at any time.

Seats are not numbered and you will be seated at available tables. Please note tables seat 4 people, so for bookings of less than 4 people, you will be seated and share a table for 4.

For £17.50 Tickets:

This is a fully seated event.  Seats are not numbered and will be allocated on a first come first serve basis.

Please NOTE, there is NO food served in the Jazz Club, there is a bar for drinks. We advise booking a table for dinner at the Duke of Hamilton upstairs at least 1hr before show-time – Book Here
