Join the very versatile and charismatic Cuban Pianist Elio Rojas and renowned Cuban Bassist Frank Portuondo for a special night of live latin jazz at The Hampstead Jazz Club!
With great finesse and a refined classical technique, Elio has no limitations when it comes to creation, interpretation and improvisation, as he breathes new exciting twists into widely known songs in his very own unique style whilst captivating audiences with his charisma and fresh personality. This night will take you on an intimate atmospheric musical journey.
Elio Hernández Rojas
Graduated from the prestigious University of Arts in Havana Cuba obtaining a First- Class Honours Degree, Elio Hernández Rojas is a Cuban pianist who has evolved over the years, becoming a successful arranger, composer, producer, and live performer.
Presently Elio is based in London England under the Global Talent Visa, endorsed by the Art Council England where he now continues his career.
His name resonates with the vibrant pulse of the jazz world, captivating audiences with his innovative blend of Latin jazz, Afro-Cuban culture, European classical music, and Cuban rhythms. As a distinguished musician, he has graced renowned venues like “Pizza Express Live Soho”, “Peggy Skylight”, “606 Club”, and the “Afro Jazz Fest London”, consistently playing to sold-out audiences. With his Trio, he delivers a mesmerising repertoire of original compositions and imaginative arrangements that breathe new life into jazz standards, offering listeners an unparalleled auditory experience. His music not only entertains but also bridges cultural gaps, creating a harmonious fusion that celebrates diverse musical traditions.

Seats are not numbered and you will be seated at available tables. Please note tables seat 4 people, so for bookings of less than 4 people, you will be seated and share a table for 4.

This is a fully seated event. Seats are not numbered and will be allocated on a first come first serve basis.
Please note the Jazz Club is situated in the basement of the Duke of Hamilton Pub and access is via a number of stairs. The nearest toilets are situated on the 1st floor of the Pub.
