Making his much-anticipated debut at the Hampstead Jazz Club is Ed Bentley, one of the most important Hammond B3 organists of the modern era.

Joined by a drum-tight band that includes Jim Mullen on guitar, Dave Lewis on tenor sax and Alun Harries on drums, Bentley mixes up a potent Gumbo stew of soul, jazz and R&B.

Having released a string of critically acclaimed albums and performed everywhere from Ronnie Scott’s to the Royal Festival Hall, it’s hardly surprising that he’s one of the most in-demand Hammond players on both sides of the Atlantic, working with an illustrious list of legendary names including South African jazz trumpeter, Hugh Masekela, and soul superstars Deniece Williams and Percy Sledge. Don’t miss this rare opportunity to see a true Hammond master at work.

Line-up:

Ed Bentley – Organ/Pedals

Jim Mullen – Guitar

Dave Lewis – Tenor Sax

Alun Harries – Drums
