Hampstead Jazz Club proudly presents the hotly anticipated third season of The Snug Sessions at Bishop’s Court Farm, a series of nine very special shows featuring a line-up of some of the brightest stars in contemporary jazz and soul.

Following a string of sell-out shows across Europe, we are very excited to welcome the sweet soulful voice of Jordan Jackson to Bishop’s Court Farm for her Snug Sessions debut.

Over the course of 35 years and more than 1000 episodes, Soul Train proved itself to be one of American television’s most iconic and influential showcases for soul and R&B music. Beginning its long run in 1971, each week the show beamed the sound of young black America into the nation’s living rooms, leaving an indelible mark on the musical landscape.

From Prince, James Brown and Curtis Mayfield through to Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder and Sly & the Family Stone, Jordan Jackson and her superb drum-tight band will be paying tribute to some of the most iconic stars who strutted their funky stuff on the Soul Train stage in what promises to be one of the most unforgettable Snug Sessions shows of the year.

Born in London and raised on a musical diet of classic old-school soul and jazz, Jordan Jackson now lives in Copenhagen, where she is one of the brightest young stars of a thriving scene.

Her mellifluous music is a chic cocktail of infectious soul, jazz and R&B that effortlessly floats between the sound of Erykah Badu, Esperanza Spalding, Sade and Corrine Bailey Rae. Having performed everywhere from Ronnie Scott’s to some of the world’s biggest music festivals, she has won widespread critical acclaim and a burgeoning fanbase.
