ANTHONY MARSDEN

Originating from rural Northern Ireland, Anthony Marsden is a truly distinctive vocalist who draws influence from a wide range of musical sources. Raised mainly on a diet of traditional Irish song, as well as some choral singing, Anthony decidedly moved towards jazz and contemporary music as he embarked on his formal study at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, later completing a masters at the prestigious Manhattan School of Music, New York City.

He’s been lucky enough to perform on some of the world’s most renowned stages, including Ronnie Scott’s and Dizzy’s, Lincoln Center (NYC). Today Anthony relishes the opportunity to thrill audiences with repertoire selected from ‘The Great American SongBook’, traditional Irish materials, modern standards from the likes of The Beach Boys, Elton John or Amy Winehouse, as well as a cleverly observant original composition or two. His arrangements help bring these eclectic influences together in a cohesive fashion, always delivering with style, wit and charm.
