Alice Zawadzki & Jamie Safir - Power Ballads
Saturday 9th March 2019
Tickets £20, £15
Doors 7:30pm, Show 8:00pm
Described by The Guardian as “a genuine original” and MOJO Magazine as “something of a phenomenon”, Alice Zawadzki truly possesses a unique musical gift on both voice and violin. Tonight she will be ably accompanied by our own, accomplished young pianist and arranger Jamie Safir (Will Young, Ian Shaw, Claire Martin, Liane Carroll). Together, they have arranged a stunning collection of drastically reinterpreted ‘power ballads’ from the 70s, 80s and 90s that are stripped bare and redefined by their performative synergy.
Their songs include: How Will I Know, I Don’t Wanna Miss A Thing, I Believe I Can Fly, I Wanna Dance With Somebody and many more. Not to be missed!
