Hampstead Jazz Club is pleased to present its Alfresco Jazz Live Event in the back garden of the Duke of Hamilton, with the inimitable harpist/vocalist Tara Minton!

What if the harp were as intrinsic to jazz history as the saxophone? Australian jazz harpist and vocalist Tara Minton explores the last 50 years of American and British jazz, reimagined with the harp front and centerstage. Joined Ed Babar on double bass this promises to be a stunning night of live music.

Tara Minton is a jazz harpist and vocalist from Melbourne Australia. She holds a masters of jazz from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and is proudly endorsed by Camac Harpes, France.

Tara has enjoyed a rich and varied musical career. She has performed with Björk, Tom Walker, Paul Lee and Eurovision’s SuRie. She’s recorded with “Kitty, Daisy and Lewis” and most recently with Miranda Mulholland on her JUNO nominated album “By Appointment Or Chance.” Tara has also guested with Toni Kofi, Larry Bartley, Joel Prime and Nikki Yeoh, performing the iconic Alice Coltrane album “Journey in Satchidanda.

After having performed at Hampstead Jazz Club in 2019, she has become one of the resident artists at the club. HJC is a big supporter of original music and emerging young talent and are pleased to support artists to help record and release their work.
