We are very excited to present the hotly-tipped Sicilian-born Neo Soulstress, Alba Plano, who will be making her much-anticipated Hampstead Jazz Club debut.
Having cut her teeth working with a host of jazz legends including Norma Winstone, Maria Pia De Vito and Barry Harris, Plano has spent the last couple of years fronting Forever Amy, a stunning Amy Winehouse tribute featuring the singer’s original band.
Now she looks all set to become a star in her own right with the release of her debut album, White Lotus. With an unmistakable sound that’s somewhere between Laura Mvula, Esperanza Spalding and Flora Purim, Alba Plano’s voice is a jewel of a tool that can turn on a dime from sultry soul to vintage jazz.
