Returning to The Hampstead Jazz Club following the success of their debut performance last year, we are thrilled to welcome back this exciting musical collective!
Formed at Oxford University in 2016, Wandering Wires bring together an exciting blend of jazz, electronic, soul and Brazilian music. Inspired by the likes of Jordan Rakei, Hiatus Kaiyote and Gretchen Parlato, the group’s latest studio album, ‘Homecoming‘ (2018) was described as ‘genre-fluid treat’. (Nightshift Magazine)
Having previously supported the Comet is Coming, featured on BBC Introducing and made appearances at Manchester’s Band on the Wall, Bristol’s Canteen and Oxford’s Truck Festival, Wandering Wires now bring their exciting sound to the Hampstead Jazz Club for the first time.
“It’s cool, smart and grooving music, harmonically rich and effortlessly tight, generating infectious funk, soul and Latin flavours” – Daily Info April 2019
“A successful experiment in the unification of the polar ends of the jazz spectrum into a satisfying white light” – Nightshift Magazine 2017
