Vocalist Sarah L King returns to the Hampstead Jazz Club for an exclusive trio gig with world renowned pianist Jim Watson and bass giant Laurence Cottle. An exclusive opportunity to hear this stellar line-up in an intimate setting!
This is an evening of beautiful songwriting and masterful playing that’s truly not to be missed!
Delivering some brand new songs as well as standards, Sarah is working on her second album, following the release of ‘Fire Horse‘, her acclaimed debut, produced by Claire Martin OBE. Sarah’s impeccable phrasing and ability to imbue an emotional depth to lyrics have brought her much recent acclaim, her music having featured on Jazz FM and BBC 3.
SARAH KING
Sarah started singing in soul & gospel choirs before emerging as a solo artist, bringing her unique style of Bacharach-esque original songs in her soul-jazz style. In 2024 Sarah released her debut album, ‘Fire Horse‘, produced by Claire Martin OBE, & featuring the cream of UK jazz talent. Showcasing mostly her own compositions, the album has received wide critical acclaim, and has received regular airtime on BBC 3 and Jazz FM.
Jim Watson, world class pianist & composer, has recently worked with Sting, Katie Melua, Kurt Elling, Chrissie Hynde, Incognito, Richard Bona, Raul Midon, Zero 7, Incognito, & Meshell Ndegeocello to name a small few.
Laurence Cottle, renowned and highly revered bassist, composer, arranger and bandleader, heads numerous projects including his own big band, Soul Vacations. He has played with Clark Tracey, Jason Rebello, Seal, Eric Clapton, Van Morrison, Chi Coltrane & Brian Eno, to name a small few, and his work also involves arrangement of numerous TV & Film musical scores.

This is a fully seated event. Seats are not numbered and will be allocated on a first come first serve basis.
Please note the Jazz Club is situated in the basement of the Duke of Hamilton Pub and access is via a number of stairs. The nearest toilets are situated on the 1st floor of the Pub.
