The Hampstead Jazz Club is proud to present a quartet formed from playing a regular spot at the late great Trevor Tomkins’ Iselworth Jazz Club, the quintet have formed a love for playing each others compositions, arrangements and choice standards.
A quartet formed from playing a regular spot at the late great Trevor Tomkins’ Isleworth Jazz Club, the quartet have formed a love for playing each others compositions, arrangements and choice standards, with influences as diverse as Bill Evans, John Abercrombie, and Jimmy Webb.
The quartet have a reputation for having a ‘cohesion and telepathy’ with a deep understanding of each other’s playing. This creates the potential for an evening of true improvisation!
RICHARD ROZZE
Richard Rozze, a graduate of The Guildhall School of Music has since been regarded as a ‘visionary guitarist’ versed in jazz, acoustic and other cross over styles. He has two albums under his own name and has had tracks featured on the BBC 3 Jazz Line Up Radio program.
PAUL BOOTH
Award winning saxophonist Paul Booth, a regular on the jazz scene, can also be seen in the Steve Winwood Band, Icognito and his own ensembles.
JOHN HORLER
John Horler is a highly respected pianist and composer who has earned a formidable reputation on the British jazz scene over many years, working with American jazz stars, such as Bob Brookmeyer, Clark Terry, Zoot Sims, Al Cohn, Art Farmer, Pepper Adams, Bud Shank, and Shorty Rodgers. One of the most memorable of these events was working with Chet Baker for a week at The Canteen in Great Queen Street.
He worked closely with Pete King, Tommy Whittle, Tony Coe and the late great Ronnie Ross for many years, playing regularly in their groups and recording with them. For more than twenty years he was first pianist to Sir John Dankworth and Dame Cleo Laine.
TIM WELLS
Bassist Tim Wells was born in Baltimore and studied at Berklee College of Music…since then he has played with a who’s who of jazz including WDR Big Band, Sam Rivers, Stan Sulzman, Norma Winstone, Tim Garland, Woody Shaw.

Seats are not numbered and you will be seated at available tables. Please note tables seat 4 people, so for bookings of less than 4 people, you will be seated and share a table for 4.

This is a fully seated event. Seats are not numbered and will be allocated on a first come first serve basis.
Please note the Jazz Club is situated in the basement of the Duke of Hamilton Pub and access is via a number of stairs. The nearest toilets are situated on the 1st floor of the Pub.
