LYDIA BELL

Lydia Bell, known for her compelling performances with the Down For The Count Orchestra, now presents an intimate celebration of The Greatest Female Jazz Singers. Seen in concert halls across the UK, she’s graced iconic stages like Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club, Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, Cadogan Hall, and even Leeds Castle with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. For one night only, Lydia brings the charm and authenticity of her voice, evoking the legacy of jazz greats, to an intimate jazz club setting.

In this special night, Lydia will pay homage to legends ranging from the swinging style of Ella Fitzgerald to the soulful warmth of Sarah Vaughan, the playful interpretations of Anita O’Day, and the timeless classics of Judy Garland. Each song is carefully chosen to showcase the beauty and diversity of iconic female jazz voices, guiding the audience through both familiar hits and hidden gems, accompanied by a band of rising stars from the UK jazz scene.

Lydia’s own voice, filled with warmth and maturity, has been described as “pure ecstasy” by The Jazz Journal. Since completing her Master’s in Jazz Performance from the prestigious Guildhall School of Music and Drama in 2018, she has captivated audiences with her ability to command both large concert halls and intimate jazz clubs. Her unique gift lies in storytelling through music, using her rich vocal tones to paint vivid, emotional landscapes.

Though she has yet to release her debut album, Lydia is building a devoted following, hoping to make her mark on the UK jazz circuit and eventually bring her distinctive, timeless sound to listeners nationwide.
