Having enchanted audiences across Ireland, Spain, and Turkey—including a sold-out performance at Istanbul’s legendary Nardis Jazz Club—Luminoso is thrilled to return to Hampstead Jazz Club, bringing their signature international flair for a night you won’t forget.

Led by the acclaimed pianist and composer Brian Clemens and featuring the charismatic Francesca Confortini—one of London’s top jazz vocalists, who has performed alongside legends like Cat Stevens and Rod Stewart—Luminoso delivers what JazzWise UK calls “an exhilarating and entertaining set of creative arrangements of standards and original music.

With Francesca’s soaring vocals and Clemens’ magnetic energy, Luminoso will guide you through an electrifying musical journey, showcasing vibrant arrangements of 1940s Italian swing, Beatles classics, timeless Great American Songbook gems, R&B favorites, and more. Their unique sound is further elevated by the dynamic songwriting duo of Clemens & Confortini, whose infectious melodies and lyrics echo the enduring charm of the Great American Songbook, leaving audiences humming their tunes for days.

Luminoso has also captivated audiences at iconic venues like Wilton’s Music Hall, Bush Hall, and Pizza Express Soho, and will bring their grand big band production, The Brian Clemens Jazz Orchestra, to the stage once again.

Brian Clemens
Brian Clemens is a London-based jazz pianist, arranger, and bandleader, originally from Los Angeles. After earning his master’s degree in California and studying under Grammy Award-winning pianist and arranger Bill Cunliffe, Brian established himself as a prominent figure in Los Angeles’ vibrant music scene. He has headlined renowned international jazz venues, including Herb Alpert’s Vibrato Jazz Grill and Istanbul’s Nardis Jazz Club, as well as performances spanning from Los Angeles to Barcelona.

Now based in London, Brian leads his acclaimed jazz band, Luminoso, which recently completed a successful European tour. In addition to reimagining classic standards, he contributes original, infectious melodies to the band’s repertoire, evoking the timeless charm of the Great American Songbook. Brian also directs the Brian Clemens Jazz Orchestra, a production currently touring theatres across the UK.

Francesca Confortini
Italian-born jazz vocalist Francesca Confortini brings her soulful tone to every performance. With a background in musical theatre and international experience as a singer for the likes of Yusuf Islam (Cat Stevens), along with work with gypsy-jazz ensembles Trio Manouche and Gypsy Dynamite as well as her trio Jazz Silhouettes, she exudes sophistication and warmth in everything she does. A versatile vocalist capable of moving from her neo-jazz originals to interpretation of the American Songbook classics Francesca is without doubt “one to watch”!
