Debut show at The Hampstead Jazz Club featuring Lulu Pierre as a startling new arrival on the London jazz vocal scene, with master pianist/composer Alex Webb!
Lulu has proved herself to be a classic Torch Song stylist in the tradition of Julie London. She can also swing out like Sarah Vaughan, with a voice that can move from a seductive sweetness to a lived-in rasp. With the experienced piano accompanist Alex Webb and his trio, she performs evergreens from the Great American Songbook, jazz classics and heartbreaking Torch songs.
Lulu Pierre performs a thoughtful range of material including unusual song choices and little-known gems from the jazz repertoire. Alex Webb is a pianist, arranger and songwriter with a long history of working with leading jazz vocalists; his songs have been recorded by Liane Carroll, China Moses, Jo Harrop, Allan Harris, Cherise, Ayanna Witter-Johnson and many others. He will be joined by the much in-demand bassist Larry Bartley and Sicilian-born drummer Alfonso Vitale.

This is a fully seated event. Seats are not numbered and will be allocated on a first come first serve basis.
Please note the Jazz Club is situated in the basement of the Duke of Hamilton Pub and access is via a number of stairs. The nearest toilets are situated on the 1st floor of the Pub.
