Julieta Iglesias launches her fusion piano set live from The Hampstead Jazz Club stage. The evening will feature her unique arrangements on works by Astor Piazzolla and Charly Garcia, mixing classical, jazz, rock and world music, on a delicate, passionate and virtuous performance.
Julieta Iglesias is an Argentine pianist based in London. Classically trained, she has been performing for more than twenty years around Europe, the US and Argentina playing classical, tango and popular music.
Her first steps into composition were as an arranger, recording the album ‘Astor‘ in 2018, which is a tribute to the accomplished tango composer Astor Piazzolla. Then she continued with Charly Garcia and Seru Giran’s music, releasing two volumes of ‘Londres suena a Seru’ in 2021 and 2024. Back to her first influence, Julieta launched ‘Piazzolla Passion’ in 2023, including works for 2 pianos, duo, quartet and quintet. Her innovative and creative piano arrangements have been acclaimed by the audience and well-known music critics.
She has participated in several festivals around the world such as the ‘Por los caminos del vino’ Festival (Mendoza, Argentina), the Echoes Festival (London, UK), the Latin American and Caribbean Week (Paris, France), the Festival of Latin America (London, UK), the London Tango Festival, the Floating Castle Festival (Slovenia), the Brecon Jazz Festival (Wales) and Aberjazz Festival (Fishguard, Wales), among others.
Nowadays she’s working on two new albums with works by Charly Garcia and Astor Piazzolla, while she keeps developing her career as a classical music pianist.
