There will also be a few tunes from his albums ‘The Next Chapter’ and ‘Mellow Mind’ expect a fusion of soulful jazz harmony, luscious sound textures, lyrical guitar & sax melodies, groovy basslines and intricate breakbeats.

Jonny Liebeck

Born and raised in West London, Jonny started his musical life playing the Church Organ at Mass every Sunday from the age of 13. During his late teen years, although progressing rapidly as an organist, Jonny started teaching himself jazz piano.

A graduate of the Royal Academy of Music & Trinity Laban, Jonny gigs all over London and has performed at many London venues including the Southbank Centre, Royal Albert Hall, Pizza Express Live, 606 Club, 91 Living Room, Rich Mix, Toulouse Lautrec, Bush Hall & Jazz Cafe Posk. In 2019, he played keyboards for Mica Paris at The Round Chapel, Clapton and performed with Cuban jazz violinist Omar Puente at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

An active composer, Jonny has just released his new Influences EP, featuring 6 new compositions with his band. This is a follow-up to his 2nd album ‘The Next Chapter‘ released in 2023, as well as his debut album Mellow Mind & 2 EP’s ‘A Message Through Sound‘ and ‘New Days & Past Times‘.

Drawing from his roots in classical and jazz music, Jonny’s sound is also heavily influenced by genres such as Jazz Funk, House, Jungle & Breakbeat, and he blends these influences together in his writing, creating a very interesting and unique sound.

Jonny Liebeck – pianist, organist, composer, bandleader – is a jazz musician who dares to do things differently. His range of influences is probably unique. There is almost certainly no other musician on the London music scene (as lively, diverse, and open to new ideas as it is), who has found such instinctively musical ways to combine jazz and electronic dance music. It is almost as if he is creating a new art form.“- Sebastian Scotney, London Jazz News
