Following their last sold out show: ‘The Music of Joe Henderson’, the Joe Mackley quartet returns with a set of new original music. An original sound rooted in the post bop era, this guarantees to be a night of blistering creativity.
JOE MACKLEY
Joe Mackley graduated from the Royal College of Music in 2022 with a first class honours degree in joint principle jazz and classical saxophone. Since then he has fully immersed himself in the London jazz scene, studying with some of the top saxophonists in the UK including Leo Richardson, Graeme Blevins and Will Vinson.
With his quartet, Joe has played sold out shows at Hampstead Jazz Club and The Spice of Life and has appeared at Pizza Express, Ronnie Scott’s and Alfie’s as part of other projects. Quickly becoming a sought after saxophonist, his playing brings together influences from Sonny Rollins, Johnny Griffin, Joe Henderson and Joshua Redman.

This is a fully seated event. Seats are not numbered and will be allocated on a first come first serve basis.
Please note the Jazz Club is situated in the basement of the Duke of Hamilton Pub and access is via a number of stairs. The nearest toilets are situated on the 1st floor of the Pub.
