Black Magic in association with The Hampstead Jazz Club present a live streamed show featuring UK Soul Sensation Tony Momrelle. In front of a live audience, DJ Calvin Francis will host the show to be broadcast live on mi-soul.com radio – 7pm-9pm. The show will also be streamed live via mixcloud and Live on Decades of soul (Calvin’s weekly show) on mi-soul.com. DJ Calvin Francis will be playing music & telling stories from 7pm to 7:45pm then Calvin will talk with Tony Momrelle till 8pm. Following this, Tony will perform a live set with his band until 9pm. Then there will be DJ Music and Networking till 10:30pm.

Tony Momrelle
In a music career spanning 20+ years, he has performed with some of the greatest artists in the world: Incognito, Gloria Estefan, Céline Dion, Janet Jackson, Whitney Houston, Chaka, Sade, Gary Barlow, Andrea Bocelli, Gwen Stefani, Robert Palmer and many more. In Autumn 2016 he supported the legendary Earth, Wind & Fire on their sold-out UK tour. His acclaimed debut album ‘Keep Pushing’ was released in 2015 – an infectious mingling of eighties-inspired synths, jazzy keys, classic piano and soaring soul vocals. Strong mainstream and regional radio support for the album culminated in four BBC Radio 2-playlisted singles and ongoing airplay across Europe. Momrelle’s ‘Keep Pushing Tour’ has flown world-wide, playing to sold-out audiences at venues and festivals in the UK, Australia, Italy, Germany, Russia and France. Notable media appearances in 2017/8 included an intimate duet with Jools Holland live on the much-loved BBC One show ‘Later with Jools Holland’, as well as distinguished collaborations with the Guy Barker Orchestra and Big Band for BBC Radio 2 . His sophomore album ‘Best Is Yet To Come’ released to critical acclaim in 2019.
DJ Calvin Francis
Calvin Francis’s radio career has spanned a decade, and he is now a well-known ‘household’ name. Calvin can demonstrate commitment and flare for anything that he puts his hand too. His credentials are flawless, and he is a renowned professional voice over artist and presenter.
Calvin spent 18 years with Choice FM 96.9/107.1 and presented, The Quite Storm Radio Programme, which featured the best in Neo Soul, Rare Grooves, Classic 80’s, 90’s Soul and Slow Jams. Calvin has hosted some of the biggest shows, featuring acts such as Blackstreet, Snoog Dogg, Jon B, Donnel Jones, Horace Brown, Tevin Campbell, and Angie Stone to name a few.
He has played in a whole host of venues including Jazz Café, Dingwells, Corks Winebar, Club Matter Indigo O2, Cafe De Paris, Storm Niteclub, Club Cucci, If Bar, Reading Football Club and many more.
Calvin is respected for his musical knowledge, backed up by his private collection of over forty thousand records. He has contributed a great amount to the Commercial and Entertainment Industry.
