Fraser Urquhart is one of the UK’s leading interpreters of the Great American Songbook, specialising in Broadway show tunes and songs from the Swing-Era.

Tonight sees Fraser in a rare trio session playing songs by two of his favourite composers: Irving Berlin and Richard Rodgers, as well as a smattering of beloved Christmas classics. In Fraser’s trio are long time collaborators: Lorenzo Morabito on bass and Joe Desseaur on drums. Expect moving, improvised interpretations of some of the best love songs ever written.

Fraser Urquhart

Edinburgh-born Fraser Urquhart cut his teeth on the vibrant Scottish jazz scene before his move to London in 2022. Regarded internationally as a first-class interpreter of the Great American Songbook he made his Ronnie Scott’s debut in February 2023 and his Pizza Express Jazz Club debut in the August. He performs weekly at the best music venues in and around the city, most at home accompanying singers.

Fraser’s two most recent album releases are a collection of duets with Jazz FM vocalist of the year Georgia Cecile and his trio recording “I Leave This At Your Ear“, released April 2025 to rave reviews.

Just a handful of the incredible musicians Fraser has worked with include: Stella Cole, Gabrielle Stravelli, Ralph Moore, Allan Harris, Martin Taylor, Dave Green, Pete Horsfall, Richard Shelton.

Fraser is a Frank Sinatra enthusiast, making him the perfect accompanist for anyone taking on the Ol’ Blue Eyes repertoire. He is chief pianist for singer/actor Richard Shelton’s acclaimed drama ‘Sinatra Raw‘, performing several sell-out runs at the Edinburgh festival and numerous other performances. He is also the pianist for Sam Furlonger’s new band Frankly Sinatra, a dedication to the Sinatra Sextet of 1962.
