EFG London Jazz Festival at Hampstead Jazz Club Finale 2023 closes this year’s extravaganza with MD/Guitarist CIYO BROWN who will be joined by pianist/singer Jordan Jackson, guitarist Claudio Suriano and drummer Johannes Bohn as they interpret classic tunes from the Soul Train American musical variety television show that was broadcasted for 35 years and featured performances by R&B, soul, and hip hop artists. Songs by Curtis Mayfield, Roy Ayers, Parliament, Sly & The Family Stone, and The Spinners.

CIYO BROWN:
Acclaimed master of guitar Ciyo Brown is one of HJC’s most popular and frequent Artists and part of what is now a HJC family of talented resident musicians. Since HJC opened in Nov 2017, Ciyo has presented some of the industry’s most reputable and talented musicians and singers, always delivering a consistent line-up of some of the most celebrated musicians on the live music circuit.
Ciyo’s illustrious musical career celebrates pioneered fusions of jazz and reggae with a successful release of six albums under his own name. The sixth album “Put a little jazz in their lives” expertly unites the beautiful complexity of jazz with the subtle rhythmic undertones of reggae.
JORDAN JACKSON
Jordan Jackson is a singer and pianist from London, UK. She sings soulful covers on the piano and originals including music from her EP, Footprints, which featured on BBC Introducing and was recommended by Danish music platform, KarriereKanonen.
Since moving to Denmark she has performed with, prolific jazz pianist Niels Lan Doky at The Standard Jazz club and The National Museum and has appeared on the Danish TV channel DK4, as a guest performer on their popular shows Dansk Pop in 2016. With a love for intimate concerts, Jordan has received fantastic responses after playing for Sofar Sounds at their popular living room shows including in Malmo, Cologne, Tallinn, Copenhagen and London.
She has also performed at renowned venues such as London’s Ronnie Scott’s Bar, The Jazz Cafe and in 2018 she had the honour of opening for the likes of Glorya Gaynor and Omar at the Happy Days festival. Jordan is available to perform at private events either solo or with a band. With plenty of audience interaction, a performance with Jordan Jackson always ensures everyone leaves with a big smile.

Please note, The Club is not licensed to allow access to Children under the age of 16 after 9pm, so for evening performances, please do not book tickets for children under the age of 16. Children aged 16 and above are welcome at any time.

This is a fully seated event. Seats are not numbered and will be allocated on a first come first serve basis.
Please note the Jazz Club is situated in the basement of the Duke of Hamilton Pub and access is via a number of stairs. The nearest toilets are situated on the 1st floor of the Pub.
