After a sold-out debut show in November 2024, an acclaimed and exciting vocalist, Dylan Ross, returns to the Hampstead Jazz Club to present a rising star of the West-End, Sammy Graham. Together they will perform a dynamic and sophisticated duo dedicated to the classic love songs of the Great American Songbook and their own repertoire. These world-class singers are backed by an exciting trio comprised of prodigal sons from the London jazz scene.

Dylan Ross

This acclaimed and emerging new vocalist on the London scene has been gaining momentum since his sold out London debut at the Hampstead Jazz Club in November of last year. He and his ‘Jazz Collective’, comprised of world-class musicians, revive the antiquity of live performance and celebrate the golden age of jazz. Synthesising the classic ‘leading man’ style with a contemporary edge, Dylan Ross brings songs to life with an emphasis on the lyric and a sophisticated drama.

The band curates a blend of intelligent improvisation, modern flair and a classical sensitivity. Together, their virtuosity and seamless chemistry transports their audience to a world of refined and dynamic class that is synonymous with the great idols of jazz.

Featured Special Guest: Sammy Graham

West-End rising star Sammy Graham has performed in leading London establishments between theatre and music. Her flawless vocals are rooted in a classical sensitivity with a dynamic contemporary twist. Drawing her inspiration from the great voices of women in jazz and theatre, Sammy’s compelling and faultless performances are nothing less than worldclass. Our singers are backed an excellent trio of young players, all of which being graduates of leading London conservatoires and have each played in prestigious venues such as Ronnie Scotts, The 606 Club, and Pizza Express Live. The band is comprised of: Will Inscoe – Piano (Jean Toussaint, Gareth Lockrane, Emma Smith) George Balmont – Double Bass (Ivo Neame, Tony Kofi, Dereck Nash) Simon Spies – Drums (Peter Long, Rob Barron, Tim Garland).

Male jazz singers are in a minority, so it’s always interesting to hear one, especially one who has the tone and phrasing of some of the very best from the past. If you like Sinatra, Tony Bennett and even Michael Bublé, you can’t help but loving Dylan Ross who was pitch perfect all night. […] It’s interesting listening to a very familiar Jazz repertoire, but with the emphasis on words. Dylan Ross sang them with precision and feeling. The Jazz Collective got a rousing reception from a near capacity crowd.” ~ Paul Kelly, Chair of Swanage Jazz Festival, 2023
