Hampstead Jazz Club presents the David Gordon Trio launching their brand new album, ‘Pachyderm” –  This special evening will feature Tom Hooper on drums, Oli Hayhurst on double bass, and David Gordon on piano.

After their previous two concept-based releases, the trio returns to its roots with a release entirely of original compositions from the pen of award-winning composer/pianist David Gordon.

Pachydermcontains a heady mixture of innovation, deep understanding of musical traditions, spontaneous wit, rich melodic language and deep grooves, which ensures a musical result that couldn’t be mistaken for any other trio working in the jazz world today.

The David Gordon Trio has a unique and individual sound world, a strong pedigree and a worldwide following. All their recordings have received rave reviews in media throughout the US, Japan and Europe, where they have sold more than 10,000 CDs. The trio has played festivals, radio and clubs in Europe and the UK, and has collaborated with a wide variety of artists, including singer Jacqui Dankworth, saxophonists Andy Sheppard and Jerry Underwood, guitarist John Etheridge and tap-dancer/vocalist Lucy Dixon.

The much anticipatedPachyderm will be the David Gordon Trio’s seventh studio album. Previous works include: ‘Dozen a Day’ (1998), ‘Undiminished’ (2000), ‘Angel Feet’ (2005),”Second Language’ (2008), ‘Speaks Latin’ (2013) and ‘Alexander Scriabin’s Ragtime Band’ (2016).

Please note, The Club is not licensed to allow access to Children under the age of 16 after 9pm, so for evening performances, please do not book tickets for children under the age of 16. Children aged 16 and above are welcome at any time.

Seats are not numbered and you will be seated at available tables. Please note tables seat 4 people, so for bookings of less than 4 people, you will be seated and share a table for 4.

For £15.00 Tickets:

This is a fully seated event.  Seats are not numbered and will be allocated on a first come first serve basis.

Please NOTE, there is NO food served in the Jazz Club, there is a bar for drinks. We advise booking a table for dinner at the Duke of Hamilton upstairs at least 1hr before show-time – Book Here

Please note the Jazz Club is situated in the basement of the Duke of Hamilton Pub and access is via a number of stairs. The nearest toilets are situated on the 1st floor of the Pub.
