Making her UK debut at Hampstead Jazz Club, Baltimore-based jazz vocalist Irene Jalenti is a soulful, and passionate performer with a four-octave vocal range. Since moving from Italy to Baltimore in 2010, Irene has performed at top venues such as Blues Alley, the Kennedy Center, the Apollo theater, the DC Jazz Fest, the Mid-Atlantic Jazz Festival and even the White House. She has performed and recorded with the award-winning a cappella jazz ensemble Afro Blue, as well as with stars such as Esperanza Spalding, Patti Austin, the Count Basie Jazz Orchestra, and has shared the stage with great Cassandra Wilson. In 2019 Jalenti will finally launch her very much awaited first solo recording work, New Island.

Alex Webb is a songwriter, arranger and pianist. His songs have been recorded by jazz singers China Moses, Mina Agossi, Sandra Nkake, Liane Carroll, Allan Harris, Alexia Gardner and Alexander Stewart, among others. His show ‘Cafe Society Swing’ has enjoyed several theatre runs in London and one in New York, where he received the New York Times ‘Critic’s Pick’.
